Brett Myers went 8 and one third strong innings as the Philadelphia Phillies
outscored the Cincinnati Reds 3 to 0.

Myers(3-2) was tremendous on the mound for Philadelphia. He gave up just 2
hits and 2 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings. Myers racked up 9 strikeouts lowering
his ERA to 2.30. Philadelphia ended up with 8 hits for the game while
Cincinnati had 2.

Billy Wagner recorded the save, his 9th. The losing pitcher was Ramon

Bobby Abreu jacked one out of the ballyard and had 4 RBI at Miller Park where
the Philadelphia Phillies beat the reeling Milwaukee Brewers by the score of
6 to 3.

Abreu led the offense for Philadelphia. He rifled a three-run blast (his 4th
of the season) in the 1st inning and lined a base-hit plating a run in the
3rd inning. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.

Randy Wolf(2-1) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Wolf got help from
Aaron Fultz who was credited with his 1st save. Tomo Ohka(2-3) absorbed the
loss. He allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 3 innings.

With this win, Philadelphia has a 20-15 record. They have been 4-6 lately.
Milwaukee has a record of 14-19 after the loss.

Jon Lieber delivered 8 solid innings as the Philadelphia Phillies topped the
Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 3 to 2 at Miller Park.

Philadelphia took the lead off Doug Davis in the first inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. Billy Wagner was perfect in relief and gained
credit for his 8th save.

Lieber(3-2) allowed 2 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Davis(2-5)
was hit with the loss. By surrending 3 runs in 5 innings his ERA jumped from
2.20 to 2.54.

Second baseman Chase Utley had 2 base hits as the Philadelphia Phillies
defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3 to 1 at Miller Park.

Philadelphia won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using
2 hits. After an out was recorded, Jim Thome began the Philadelphia spurt
when he blasted a solo shot (his 3rd of the season). Todd Pratt stepped up
to the plate and he reached on an error. David Bell then drew a walk. After
another out, Jimmy Rollins came to the plate and lashed a single scoring the
final run of the inning. Ugueth Urbina(1-4) was helped out by Billy Wagner
who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 7th save.

Julio Santana(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits and 2
walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.

Oakland took the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring a
single run. Texas had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up
short.

Kirk Saarloos(3-3) allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Huston Street got the save, his 1st. Juan Dominguez(0-2) ended up with the
loss. His ERA ballooned from 3.12 to 3.42 as he allowed 5 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings.

Angeles(AL) out-hit Seattle for the game, 16 hits to 9.

Ryan Franklin(4-2) suffered the loss. Los Angeles(AL) scored big getting 5

was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Joe Randa then doubled giving
San Diego the victory as 31,313 happy fans celebrated wildly. San Diego
ended up with 7 hits for the game while Colorado had 2.

Marcos Carvajal(1-1) was hit with the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 2

The Boston Red Sox came roaring back in the top of the ninth to spoil the
anticipated celebration of the hometown fans. The final score,, was 2 to
1.

Boston scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning with 2 runs.
After an out was recorded, Manny Ramirez was the sparkplug when he drew a
walk. Kevin Millar followed and he bombed a two-run dinger (his 1st of the
season). Detroit had 10 hits in the game while Boston had 4, but Boston had
the more timely hits.

The victory was credited to Mike Timlin(2-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Timlin got help from Keith Foulke who was credited with his
3rd save. Fernando Rodney(0-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He
pitched 1 inning giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.

'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Jason Varitek said. 'If
you just keep trying good things can happen!'

After an out was recorded, Jones came up and he slapped a base-hit. One out
later, Adam Laroche stepped in and he doubled driving home two runs. Jorge

came up short.

things rolling when he blasted a solo shot (his 4th of the season). Cesar
Izturis stepped into the batter's box and he laced a base-knock. Hee Seop
Choi then cracked a two-run shot (his 3rd of the season) making Los
