Pat Burrell hit a grand slam at Busch Stadium as the Philadelphia Phillies
staged a comeback win over the St. Louis Cardinals by the count of 14 to
10.

Philadelphia had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they
tallied 6 runs on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Ryan Howard who deflated
the spirits of the home town crowd when he cleared the bases with a Grand
Slam homerun (his 2nd of the season). A wild affair, this game saw the lead
change 5 times.

The winning pitcher was Ryan Madson(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 2 innings.
Jason Isringhausen(0-2) was given the loss in relief. Charlie Manual was
feeling mighty fine as he answered questions in his office after the game,
'Now that was one fine ending! Did you see how the crowd just sat there in
silence after the winning run scored? Here we are celebrating wildly, and the
stadium is cloaked in virtual silence. Weird. but GREAT!'
