Center fielder Kenny Lofton had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies
topped the Washington Nationals by a score of 10 to 5 at Citizen's Bank
Park.

Philadelphia had the winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 5 runners on 5
hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Tomas Perez who elicited a
roar from the hometown fans when he doubled scoring two baserunners.
Washington was out-hit by Philadelphia, 14 hits to 7.

The victory was credited to Ryan Madson(8-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Gary Majewski(4-6) took the loss in relief. He allowed 1
hit and no walks without retiring a batter.
