42,138 fans watched an exciting game at Citizen's Bank Park. The Philadelphia
Phillies topped the Atlanta Braves by the slimmest of margins, 5 to
4.

Philadelphia scored the decisive runs in a big 8th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 4 base hits. Jimmy Rollins began the Philadelphia spurt when he
hit a bases-empty home run (his 1st of the season). After an out was
recorded, Chase Utley stepped in and he banged out a single. One out later,
Pat Burrell stepped in and he cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the season).
Billy Wagner pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 2nd save.

Geoff Geary(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. The loss was
charged to Chris Reitsma(1-1) in relief. He pitched 1 inning and surrendered
3 hits and no walks.
